THESE DAYS, WE ARE HOME

After you photograph someone's engagement and wedding, there is a small level of anticipation over the thought of when you'll see each other again.

For some couples it takes just a few months and others it's a few years but I find that it always feels like the right amount of time.

The day I arrived for their newborn session I was greeted eagerly at the door by their lovable pooch. We talked about the old days we had spent together planning the wedding, the sessions, the edits, the joy. The days that we spent outdoors at the beach or at that stunning venue in Malibu. As we ended the session it felt like a conclusion, those days were so beautiful but these days, they were home. These days, they were enthralled in babyhood, and it felt right to know that these days were going to be memories someday too.
