She Was So New

Just like with grown up's, in my line of work, you meet some babies that you just click with. They get you, you get them, they sleep, they feed - it's almost like you've already met.

Lenny was such a baby. I knew immediately that we'd be shooting together for many years to come. Her big eyes looked out with so much curiosity and wonder, she looked as though she'd been around a few months as opposed to just two weeks - but two weeks was all it had been since she came into the world to soak it all in. She was so new and yet, such an old soul.
She was sleepy and yet, so observant.

I honestly could have shot with her and her mamma all day, the slowness and warmth of the house and it's light all hit just right. These are the moments that make me glow, that bring me to center. Capturing the new and keeping it slow in the moment - because the days go so so fast and there is no need to hurry them <3
